Kids say the darndest things!

I have to tell you really quick what Brayden and Ellie said last night. We were driving home from Sandy, and the first thing I always say when getting in the car is "Seatbelts".
Well I said it, and we got on our way. Just as we are pulling onto the freeway in Sandy, Ellie says "I don't want to go to jail!" Dan and I both turn and look at her like she's delirious or something and say what? She repeats herself and I realize she doesn't have her seatbelt buckled yet, so I tell her to hurry and buckle it, and she won't have to go to jail. Well Dan says to her, "I don't want to go to jail either, that wouldn't be very fun would it" she says nope and I say "Heck, I want to go to jail, do you think they'll take me?" Complete silence for 20 seconds then they ask why I want to go to jail. I tell them "I'm tired of cleaning up after everyone, and always having to cook dinner and take care of everyone, I just need a vacation" Brayden gets all serious and says "mom, you can't go to jail" and Dan asks why. Brayden say's cause we need someone to clean us everyday. Dan says he will do it and Brayden replys "You can, you don't know how, and besides you work all day and we can't take care of ourselves! We need our Mom!"
