I've been informed by a few people (who shall remain nameless-but you know who you are!) that I haven't been doing a good job on keeping this thing updated; so I guess I will try harder!
We haven't had many excititng things happening to us lately, but here's whats been going on.
I'm at the kids' schools 3 or more days per week, and it is very time consuming, but like I said earlier, I'm having a really hard time having them gone all day!
Brayden's poor teacher has had to figure out new ways to deal with Brayden because he's not the kind of kid who will do what she says because she says it. He questions everything and wants to be in charge of everything in his world (sound like someone we all know? Dan!). Dan's mom often tells me Brayden acts just like Dan did when he was growing up-I tell you, I have a whole new respect for that woman! I think Brayd is finally figuring out that I'm on the same page as the teacher, and if he gets in trouble at school, he will be in even more trouble when he gets home!
Ellie is loving school, but is also loving her time at home with me. It's quite a nice change! She never used to want to be home with me, she always wanted to go to Grandma's or to Dad's work, or anywhere I wasn't...now she is perfectly content to stay home and help me sweep or fold clothes or clean toilets or whatever we're doing that day. I'm really enjoying her more than ever before.
Dan is working like crazy...the car buisness is soooooo slow right now-he works his rear off just to be told "no" by yet another bank. He is getting frusterated and it's been hard to see him come home so disappointed every night. Hopefully this economy will change and quickly, and hopefully the move to the new building will help things pick up! If not, Dan may have a nice loooonnnnggg break from work for a while!
As for me, I'm just doing the same old boring things...I'm getting really stir crazy being home so much. I really, really want to go hunting or even just camping somewhere. I love the fall, and I really want to go take some pictures of the beautiful leaves. I'm about ready to just pack things up and take off!
My cute neighbor came running out the other day as I was waiting for Brayd to get off the bus. She was so excited to show me the MOOSE she had just shot. I'm so excited for her, but so jealous. That's the only hunt I want to draw out for...maybe next year! It was fun to live vicariously through her for a little while. I came home and immediatly called Dan, we went back over when he got home from work to see it again! Congrats JJ!
